A Full Service Veterinary Clinic

Jeffery Shelton, DVM is a graduate of the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. He established Shelton Pet Hospital on Miller Avenue in Shelbyville in 1993. Dr. Leann Kuhn Smith, also a Purdue graduate, joined the practice in 1998.

The practice is still solely owned by Dr. Shelton and we strive to provide high quality care to our area pets. It’s been a joy serving several generations of our clients. In 2018, the decision was made to expand and a new building was built at 1250 Amos Road. We moved and changed the name to Shelton Veterinary Care.

Dr. Fayella Horn joined us in 2020 and Dr. Kyle Shelton in 2022. Both are graduates of Purdue University and they are excited to be in the veterinary field.

We provide a wide range of veterinary services so that most of your pets’ needs can be met comfortably under one roof. We have on-site blood testing, a diagnostic laboratory, digital radiographs, and ultrasound.

We are proud of our high tech equipment and our new facility, but most of all, we are proud of our amazing staff. Our doctors, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, and Client Care Specialists are highly skilled and compassionate. They love what they do and it shows.
